Any industry is only as good as its people. The programming community, vibrant and constantly innovating, is leading major changes in our lifestyle and in our relationship with the world. When everything runs on code, a healthy, vibrant community of programmers is essential to share and promote ideas, best practices, and research on new technologies. That's why we believe that giving back to the community is crucial. Be it organizing and running programming conferences, or giving back to the Open Source ecosystem by building reusable code libraries, we take the community very seriously.
During 3 editions of Barcelona Ruby Conference and one edition of Barcelona Future JS, we've had more than 1700 attendees from 50 countries, many of them repeating year after year, 80 speakers on stage and around a hundred sponsors have put their trust on our events.
This is our first organized event. Starting on 2012 and already with 3 successful editions Baruco has become the main Ruby conference in Europe.www.baruco.org
Born out of the joined forces of Barcelona Ruby Conference and Barcelona Future JS, Full Stack Fest aims to push new, interesting ideas to the whole technology stack, delivered by some of the brightest minds in our industry will see the light on 2015.www.fullstackfest.com
We are strong supporters and believers of Open Source Software. We use it everyday: from our development tools, to programming languages or the software that powers the production servers. Contributing to OSS is our way to give back to the community and help others with our software. We actively contribute to existing software and even create our own when we can’t find the right solution to a problem.
Whenever we develop some novel approach to a problem, or maybe build an interesting tool to make development better, we think it’s our responsibility to share it with our industry. This is why we keep an engineering blog, sharing our thoughts and ideas as our humble contribution to the state of the art.
