Third party services we use

Matomo (formerly: PIWIK)

Our website uses Matomo (formerly: PIWIK). This is privacy-minded open-source software with which we can analyze the use of our site.

We host Matomo exclusively on our own servers so that all analysis data remains with us and is not passed on to any third parties.

Data such as your IP address, the pages you visit, the website from which you came (referrer URL), the duration of your visit, browser and device used, geolocation, is being processed.

We track this data without cookies and we use Matomo with the “Automatically Anonymize Visitor IPs” function. This anonymization function truncates your IP address by two bytes so that it is impossible to assign it to you or to the internet connection you are using.

We use this data only for our own statistics, to learn from your actions and to create a better experience for you and other users.

You may choose to prevent this website from aggregating and analyzing the actions you take here by opting out from this tracking:

In that case, a cookie will be stored on your device via your browser to prevent any further analysis. Please note, that you must click the above link again if you delete the cookies stored on your end device, or if you change computers or web browsers.

YouTube

We use the provider YouTube to embed videos.

Each time you access a page that offers one or more YouTube video clips, a direct connection is established between your browser and a YouTube server in the USA. Information about your visit and your IP address may be stored there.

If you are logged in to YouTube at the same time, YouTube will assign the connection information to your YouTube account. If you wish to prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting our website or make the appropriate settings in your YouTube user account.

YouTube uses cookies to collect video statistics, prevent fraud, improve user-friendliness and other things. This also establishes a connection with the Google DoubleClick network. When you start the video, this could trigger other data processing transactions that are beyond our control.

How YouTube handles User Data

Vimeo

We embed videos from our official Vimeo channel. When you press play Vimeo will drop third party cookies to enable the video to play and to collect analytics data such as how long a viewer has watched the video. These cookies do not track individuals.
